Simon Twine

Simon has featured in all of Spud Theatre’s productions.  He took the parts of Johnny Swan in Trainspotting, the DJ in Ecstasy, Lucky Eric in Bouncers, Professor Van Helsing in Dracula, Barrymore in The Hound of the Baskervilles, Utterson, Poole and Carew in The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Hilton Cubitt in The Dancing Men, Dr Roylott in The Speckled Band, General Spielsdorf in Carmilla, Count Fosco in The Woman in White and Stephens, Upfold,  Wood, Lawrence, Light and Griffiths in The Murder Trials of Sir Edward Marshall Hall.

Hannah Jade Robbins

Hannah Jade Robbins is an actress and performance poet based in Yorkshire.  She currently works as a performer at the York Dungeon, portraying many historical characters.  Hannah studied MA Performance at Leeds Beckett university, during which she performed in Romania and created her first spoken word solo show. Hannah enjoys performing internationally. Recently she has performed slam poetry in Los Angles and acted in shows at the SanFrancisco Dungeon.  For Spud Theatre, Hannah has taken the parts of Carmilla in Carmilla, Marian Halcombe in The Woman in White, and Young and Nunney in The Murder Trials of Sir Edward Marshall Hall.

Ben Caswell

Ben took the parts of Harker and Holmwood in Dracula, Sir Henry Baskerville in The Hound of the Baskervilles, Jekyll and Hyde in The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Dr Watson in The Dancing Men, Sherlock Holmes in The Speckled Band, Wanderer and Baron Vordenburg in Carmilla, Frederick Fairlie in The Woman in White and Marshall Hall in The Murder Trials of Sir Edward Marshall Hall.

 

Sophie Healey

Sophie describes herself as a bubbly Yorkshire lass from Huddersfield, who has always had a love of acting and all things creative. She studied drama at both school and college, before going on to complete a BA (Hons) Drama Degree at The University of Cumbria, Lancaster.  Whilst at university she played various roles including; Una in David Harrower’s Blackbird, Masha in Dying For It  by Moira Buffini, Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Charlie in Fin Kennedy’s How To Disappear Completely and Never be Found.  For Spud Theatre, she played the role of Laura in Carmilla, and took on the dual roles of Anne Catherick and Laura Fairlie in The Woman in White.  When not performing, her other love is Make-up Artistry. She is  Counter Manager at Clinique and also work as a Freelance Make-Up Artist, doing make-up for weddings and special occasions.

 

Rachel Brewin

Rachel has appeared on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  For Spud Theatre, she took the parts of Lucy Westenra in Dracula, Beryl Stapleton and Laura Lyons in The Hound of the Baskervilles, Elsie Cubitt in The Dancing Men, Helen Stoner in The Speckled Band, and the Countess in Carmilla.

 

Ed Corbett

Ed has appeared on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. For Spud Theatre, he took the parts of Spud in Trainspotting, Judd in Bouncers, Dracula in Dracula, the Narrator in The Murder Trials of Sir Edward Marshall Hall and Father in Carmilla.

Ben Hopwood

Ben has been an actor now for almost a decade, having taken to the stage for the first time in 2013 with a single line part in Leeds Arts Center (LAC)’s The Visit. He enjoyed it so much, he returned for further LAC productions, including The Money’s in the Bank, Waiting for Godot and Blood & Ice.  Ben has also appeared on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and with the National Theatre in An Inspector Calls. Ben has since directed shows for LAC (Flint Street Nativity) and for Thought Chain Theatre (Effie’s Burning), as well as being involved in a host of back stage roles and even turning his hand to play writing (though without public performance as of yet!).  For Spud Theatre, Ben took the part of Walter Hartright in The Woman in White.
